From Christian

Hi, Eva's dear Friends !

Thanks for your last messages and thoughts. I am doing well, and I have regained my energy; for me, who treasures my relationships, would it be relatives, friends or just acquaintances, a loss is very hard to take, so 3 losses of long time friends, added to the excruciating task as Executor, took a toll on me.

I feel so sorry that no pictures or tapes of the Memorial service were taken, as it was a beautiful celebration of Eva's life, that touched so many people in different ways; the pictures and diplomas of all kinds, the Hungarian documents, the far away trips certificates, the "snapshots" of the Minister in resuming many aspects of her life, the testimonies of very close friends, her presence through her cremated remains at the altar surrounded by flowers and portraits, the unexpected attendance of so many that EVA coached, mentored, helped, entertained, but also hurt by her behaviour or by being bullied, although many times, it turned helpful.

Yes, Steven, you may post this on "remembering.ca " and on her webpage. Anyone with special memories or pictures, please, post them!

I copied the posts from Eva's guestbook at www.remembering.ca.

Sister Germaine Chrupalo

Eva was a frequent visitor to the Bethlehm Retreat Centre at Nanaimo. Her presence was always inspiring and I felt so privleged to know such a "spititual" and wholesome woman.Eva was a guest at a brunch we had at the House of Bread Monastery, November 10,2009. She was so full of life and cheerful. I have such fond memories of Eva having known her for just 13 years.

Moshe

Eva, we just became close friends and you left us. You told me that: "in my age, I was advised not to buy green bananas" so when I came to see you on Nov. 4, I brought you one.
We'll miss you.

Kristine Freeman

Eva touched my life more that she knew. I started missing her when I moved away and now I miss her even more. She will never be forgotten by myself and my family. Her laughter will live on with us through all of our fond memories of her.

Sally Felka

Eva was a dear friend. I miss her enormously. Although she had no family, she created family and community through her sharp wit and generous heart. I saw her just before she died and although she was tired, she seemed to have her wonderful sparkle about her. May she soar into grace.

Margaret Davies

Eva lit up a room when she entered. The twinkle in her eye along with her positive attitude lifted everyone's spirits. She will be sorely missed.
